Nissan to export Quest vans to China
Importing Quest vans into China is a quick way for Nissan to make a presence in this
potentially explosive automobile market. The Quest minivan is built in Canton, Mississippi, is modified for the Chinese
market. Slight changes are made to the exterior lighting, including corner lights on the front fenders, rear fog
lights, and clear taillights. The biggest change is some strengthening to the structure, including changes to the rear
corners and A-pillars to help the vehicle withstand the rugged Chinese countryside. While the sales volumes are
expected to be low, the Quest will be expensive in China with the currency differences between the yuan and dollar.
