New Toyota Camry Details
While GM and Ford are having their own struggles in the US, Toyota is preparing to launch another salvo of midsize sedan destruction in North America. Their upcoming 2007 Toyota Camry will make its debut in January at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. The car rides on a completely new platform. Also of interest is the aggressive new styling. If you thought the last car was boring, we're sure the new one will surprise you. Power plants will include revised versions of the current 2.4-liter and 3.3-liter engines as well as the hybrid option. Toyota wants to take the Camry all the way to the 500,000 per year mark. I am sure this car will be phenomenal. I do feel, however, that more and more competitive alternatives to the Camry are being presented every day. Until they are introduced to the public, there is no telling how it will impact the market. If the changes to the Camry are as significant as the Avalon's evolution, Toyota's competition might have something to worry about.
