UAW leaders concerned about oil prices

The UAW leadership is apparently getting nervous about fuel prices and the effect they'll have on sales of vehicles from the Big 3. UAW president Ron Gettlefinger stated that he doesn't follow the conventional wisdom that fuel prices will have to reach $3/gallon to have an impact, and thinks it's already starting to have an impact. Gettlefinger's current vehicle of choice is a Ford Escape Hybrid, and VP Richard Shoemaker is considering the move from his GMC Canyon to a hybrid as well.
