Ford Explorer Sport Trac to allow for some junk in its trunk
Ford knew a good idea when it saw one when Honda showed off its
new Ridgeline, complete with a trunk in the bed of the pickup. Many of you remember the
Sport Trac Adrenaline that was shown off at the New York
Auto Show with a little toolbox built into the bed. Ford Takes that a step further with its 2007 model year
Explorer Sport Trac, on which it will offer not one but THREE compartments. Two of the trunks, each conveniently the
size of a six-pack (or not-so-conveniently for those of you who buy by the case), are located between the wheel wells
and tailgate, while the other is up closer to the cab and is the largest of the three trunks. All three have
drainage plugs and locks — a.k.a. built-in tailgating equipment with security.
