The Chase for the Nextel Cup takes NASCAR to a restrictor-plate race at Talladega. As usual, there is wall-to-wall TV coverage. The Chase rewards consistency, so expect the inevitable Talladega mass crash, aka "the big one," to take out some of the contenders and shake up the standings.

The World Rally Championship heads to Japan this weekend. Sebastien Loeb can clinch the Championship with a decent finish here.

MotoGP stops in Qatar this weekend. Loris Capirossi (pictured) is on pole with his Ducati, but with his fifth championship in the bag, expect a relaxed Valentino Rossi to be very, very fast on race day.

The American Le Mans Series serves up its showcase event, Petit Le Mans, this weekend. The 10-hour/1000 mile tour of Road Atlanta is again covered live on SPEED channel, starting at 11 a.m. Saturday. The regular ALMS field combines with a lot of European entries hoping to snag the automatic 2006 Le Mans entry awarded to each class winner. Expect good battles between the Audi R-8s and the Zytek, as well as the Aston Martins and Corvettes.
