From Trash to Turbos – BMW testing turbo I-6
In the past we've reported on BMW considering not only a 3-Series powered by a turbocharged engine but a 1-Series model, as well. World Car Fans has a spy shot of sorts that shows a 5-Series with an odd front end that could easily be misinterpreted as a facelift. The new front end, however, is not mere cosmetic surgery, but rather a new front bumper designed to accommodate the increased airflow of a turbocharged engine. Though the car seen here is a 5-Series, WCF reiterates that the engine will likely been assigned for duty in the 3-Series Coupe, possibly in the interim until the new M3 arrives.
