In commemoration of 25 years of Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system, the company has recreated its famous commercial in which an Audi 100 CS Quattro drives straight up the Pitkavouri ski jump in Kaipola, Finland. In order to perform the stunt again, Audi spent three weeks repairing the original ski jump. Today's Audi A6 4.2 Quattro had no trouble with the 37.5-degree incline, driving up the ramp 11 times with an average speed of 37 mph. The only modifications made to the Audi were the addition of studded tires (kind of a key mod for this type of thing) and a roll-back safety device. Audi will be airing the new interpretation of its classic commercial starting November 7th and has set up a micro-site for its 25 Years of Quattro celebration.
