What drag racers drive on weekdays
If one's weekend car is a 6-second Mustang, then it probably takes a special daily-driver to keep one from getting bored. Tim Lynch must have decided that a 12- or even 10-second car wouldn't keep him happy, so his second vehicle is a 1,300 rear-wheel HP twin-turbo '87 Mustang LX coupe that runs solid mid-8s in the quarter. While it's probably not fair to say that this is a true commuter vehicle, given the slicks, lack of A/C and the two-speed Powerglide transmission, it's claimed that the car sees weekly use. Give it credit for having a full interior and a working radio.
