Chrysler scrambles to match Red Tag Event

Chrysler hoped that the madness was over at the end of September when the employee pricing programs of each of the Big 3 drew to a close. As October sales tanked and GM pulled some more incentives out of its hat just over a month into value pricing, Chrysler has yet again becomes the reluctant follower. According to company spokespeople, the Auburn Hills-based company plans to roll out its new incentives plan on Thursday when CEO designate Dieter Zetsche addresses dealers in Las Vegas.

Right now, Ford currently has no plans to change its current promotions on 2005 vehicles and says its 2006 vehicles don't need incentives, but only time will tell as to whether it will follow GM into the abyss just as it did last summer.
