The 2006 DTS heralds the end of the Deville name in the Cadillac stable and is the last vehicle redesign to complete the Art & Science look across the line. The luxury sedan gets most of the visual changes to the front and rear, while much of the body remains the same from 2005. The DTS stays the only front wheel drive vehicle in the Cadillac fleet. While much of the DTS may look similar, many changes have been made inside and underneath. Learn more at the link.

From the outside the DTS gains the new Cadillac look with high-intensity xenon headlamps, larger egg crate grille and vertical LED tail lamps.

On the inside, the interior gets a whole new look with premium materials like real burl wood and soft-touch surfaces on the dashboard and door panels. Comfort is always key in the DTS and the car indulges owners and passengers with heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel. A new analog clock and dual-firmness seats round out the interior changes.

The DTS shares a platform with the new 2006 Buick Lucerne and with the platform comes many of the same conveniences and technologies like remote start with personalization, heated windshield washer fluid, rain sensing wipers, dual stage and dual depth front air bags, thorax air bags and roof rail air bags, StabiliTrak stability system, Magnetic Ride Contol and DVD navigation system.

While the DTS isn?t a clean sheet redesign like the STS and CTS before it, the sedan offers many improvements over last year?s model in comfort, ride and build tolerances which should keep the DTS as one of the best selling large luxury sedans in America.
