Chauffeurs will get their drive on at Top Gear's test track in September

Chauffeurs have what can sometimes be considered an easy job. They get paid to drive nice cars around for a living, and they have great stories to tell about celebrities they've driven, crazy things people have done, and impossible deadlines that they've had to meet -- all in a vehicle that is up to 200 inches longer than its maker intended. Chauffeurs also tend to work for either very demanding executives, or people who are too drunk to drive. The job is many things, and sometimes it just ain't easy..

The same airfield used by the Top Gear production in the UK will play host to an event on September 16-18 for chauffeurs and limo owners alike, with hundreds of for-sale limousines on hand, plus a three-mile road course with real life road conditions to test these livery professionals. One event to watch will be the world's only stretch Ferrari F360 (who would do that?) attempting to break the limo world speed mark. Hmmm... does the Stig chauffeur?

THE airfield made famous by BBC's Top Gear will see a different form of driving as thousands of chauffeurs descend to the track this September.

Dunsfold Park in Surrey will be the home of the free trade event on the 16th, 17th and 18th September 2007, and will feature a three mile driving experience circuit simulating various road conditions. One of the track highlights will include a display by the worlds only stretch Ferrari 360 limousine which is also planned to be hailed as 'the world's fastest limousine' when it attempts to break the record during the event.

Trade seminars, limo parts village and hundreds of pre-owned limousines will be some of the many other features on offer at the Chauffeur Drive '07. Exhibitors already announced are companies such as Jaguar, South-East Coachworks, the new Hummerzine, Pinnacle UK, A1 Stretch limos and Royale Limousines of the USA.
