AMG M-Class: Autoblog First Look
Mercedes Benz announces the AMG bodystyle – or "sportsware" as MB like to put it. This is nothing really more than a bodywork kit with wheels for all engine variants of the new M-Class SUV. But that puts it too lightly. Is anything AMG "just" a bolt-on kit? If anything, it dramatically changes the style of the M. More pictures and info at the link (Click on photos for high-res pic).
New pieces include a front bumper with large fog lamps ringed in chrome. Four large air intakes with black mesh grille overtake the nose along with a new center grille that features vertical insets in brushed stainless steel. At the rear, the bumper follows the design lead of the front and the twin-pipe exhaust is accentuated by the shape. A rear sill guard in brushed stainless steel is placed to help deter scratches when luggage is loaded.
