Acura sales hit record in the U.S.

With 42 days remaining in the year, Acura has posted sales of 170,945 besting the all-time sales record set in 2003. Most of the gain has been in the hand of the TL which has garnished 67,942 of those sales for Honda's division. Even though the new 2005 RL will be a FWD-based AWD V-6 challenger in a RWD-based V-8 land of giants, sales can only best that of the slow selling previous generation. Acura's fortune goes up while parent Honda is faltering a bit.
