After all it has lost, MG-Rover still running
In the 100 or so years that MG-Rover has been a company it has gone through more changes that just the name. In the US, you may remember their brief stint as Sterling in 1987 that failed to make an in road here. MG-Rover is showing off an interesting coupe concept tht may land in their lineup. The Rover 75 is only produced in sedan form, but this concept branches out the design into a two-door. While not a knock-em-dead design, I find it very clean and I won't say word about the double grill that reminds me of work done by another automaker that rhymes with "gaudy".
Some Rover history: Recently, they sold off Land Rover to Ford (2000) and were set free by BMW, who bought them in 1994, not before keeping the new Mini brand for BMW?s own. MG-Rover has within the last three years purchased Qvale of Italy (The Ford powered Qvale Mangusta and MG X-power SV are children of that marriage) and collaboration with Tata Motors of India to create the small Cityrover. With this new expanded line up rumors fly that MG-Rover may once again try to sell on US soil.
