Alonso rules out Ferrari
Formula One's Fernando Alonso said he would never drive for Ferrari as long as Michael Schumacher has a seat at the Italian team. This quells any rumors of the 24-year-old switching makes. Renault team chief Flavio Briatore told Motorsport aktuell magazine, "While Michael Schumacher is there Alonso will never drive for Ferrari". As long as the Renaults are competitive, he is prepared to stay with Renault. Alonso leads the Formula One championship standings with 26 points, while Schumacher has only amounted two points so far this season.
