Audi, BMW debut at ALMS winter test

Lots of motorsports news today - spring must be getting closer! On this side of the pond, the American Le Mans Series began its winter test session at Sebring International Raceway today, with the Audi R10 LMP1 car the star of the show.

Two of the diesel-powered R10s ran this morning, alongside the Porsche RS Spyder LMP2 car. In the first shakedown session, the Porsche lapped 1.2 sec faster than the R10s, although we expect the Audi times to fall quickly as they work through their test program.

Team PTG was also in attendance with its two factory BMW M3s, the first GT2S cars to turn a wheel so far. (Picture after the jump.)Audi, BMW debut at ALMS winter test
