The deadline for the Autoblog "Redesign Our Business Cards Contest" has come and gone and we are no longer accepting submissions as of 12 AM. About 71 people submitted entries, and we have well over 200 designs to consider. The designs we choose to become the next Autoblog and AutoblogGreen business cards will net each of their creators a Pioneer AVIC-D2 in-dash satellite navigation system worth $1,500. We're hoping to have the winners chosen by Friday, but frankly we didn't expect so many submissions, nor this many good ones. A clear favorite for either card is not apparent, so we're going to dig our teeth in and get to judging as fast as possible. We'll keep everyone updated on the judging in case we don't have the results by Friday, but we're eager to fill our wallets with some new representation so we'll work as quickly as we can.

Before we begin judging, on behalf of the entire Autoblog and AutoblogGreen team, I'd like to personally thank each and every person who submitted a design (or two, or four, or ten in somes cases!). Many of you mentioned that, beyond having your eye on one of the AVIC-D2 sat navs, it was a pleasure to give back to Autoblog, and we sincerely appreciate the sentiment. It's our pleasure to do what we do on the site everyday, and it's always nice to know our efforts our appreciated. This has been by far our most successful contest ever, so keep your eyes peeled because now we're gung ho to do more, a lot more.
