Our crack team of Chinese auto journalists has been in Shanghai for a while now waiting for the Shanghai Auto Show to begin. While kicking back and enjoying all that Shanghai has to offer, they were tipped off to these spy shots of the yet-to-be-revealed coupe concept from Geely, one of the many Chinese automakers with aspirations of sellings its wares the world over.

Like most Chinese concepts, it's unlike anything we've ever seen before. Unless, of course, you've ever seen a Nissan Skyline GT-R, which the folks over Carscoop noticed it resembled in the front end. While it's not a total ape of the Skyline GT-R's design, the influence is apparent. Again, like most Chinese concepts, we find it to be an entirely strange looking beast that tries to marry the sharp cut of its rigid front fender lines with the graceful bend of the rear fenders. A very disjointed look is the result. We won't even comment on the thin, vertical grille that dominates the face of this concept. We already know the Geely coupe concept will debut this week at the Shanghai Auto Show, where we'll be able to see this piece in its final form.
