Tragic end to Wales Rally GB

The rallying community is paying tribute to Michael Park, co-driver for Peugeot's Markko Martin, who was killed Sunday in a crash on special stage 15 of Wales Rally GB when their car hit a tree at high speed. Martin was shaken, but unhurt.

The remaining stages of the rally were cancelled.

Nicky Grist, co-driver for Colin McRae and color commentator for WRC TV broadcasts, called the accident "...just a horrible twist of fate. You could have that accident 200 times, but if you hit it in the wrong place on the 201st time, then you will get hurt."

Park is survived by his wife and two children.
