UPDATE: BMW's 120d Customer Sport
It turns out the diesel hatchback we reported on last week is a turnkey World Touring Car Championship and FIA Group N racecar.

Per the regulations, all-up weight including driver is about 2500 pounds, and the 2-liter turbodiesel is good for 245 hp at 4,200 rpm. Redlined at a relaxed 5,000 rpm, the engine generates 331 ft-lbs of torque. AP disk brakes with 6-piston calipers front/4-piston calipers rear handle the stopping duties.

The car is available as a Racing Kit from BMW Racing Parts, both as the WTCC fender-flared version shown, and as in a more stock-appearing form meeting the FIA's Group N regulations.
