Ultimate Drivers wanted: BMW roundel tacks on pink ribbon for breast cancer fundraising
Breast cancer research fundraisers at the Susan G. Komen Foundation have
teamed up with BMW of North America, and the group is looking for volunteer wheelmen (and women) for an upcoming
Ultimate Drive event. Eighteen drivers will pilot specially-marked BMWs on a fifteen mile course, earning $1
per mile pledged by the German automaker. The fundraiser is slated for Thursday, March 30th, and will take
place in Charleston, South Carolina.Ultimate Drive, which tours across the country and stops in 200 cities, has raised ten million dollars for the foundation over the past decade. Nearly 300,000 drivers have volunteered for the fund-raising event.
