VIDEO: BMW 3-Series Coupe a whole new car
BMW has finally released official information about its 2007 3-series coupe, which will get an all-wheel drive version and a top model with a twin-turbocharged inline six -- BMW's first turbocharged engine in a mighty long time. And check out the above video to see just how much the 3-Series Coupe design differs from its sedan counterpart.
The 328i starts off the lineup at $39,995 including destination and offers up a 230 hp 2.8L inline six mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The BMW 328xi, priced at 37,795, is the first 3-series coupe to offer the all-wheel drive option -- something BMW has been doing a lot more of now that Americans have gone wussy on the whole rear-wheel drive thing (we can't drive them in the snow).
The real piece of work is the 335i. The 300 hp 3.0L inline six under the hood puts out 300 lb-ft of torque, and each of its turbochargers supports three cylinders with minimal lag, according to the manufacturer. Can't wait for the M3? The 335i is no small potatoes with a 0-60 time of 5.3 seconds with the six-speed.
