What do automakers pay for health care?
We hear a lot of complaining from domestic automakers about health-care costs, so really how big is the problem?
Pretty #!$@ing large, from the looks of the below per-vehicle figures. Reducing these costs or even completely
eliminating them would not automatically make things all better, but it's clear that there's a discrepancy between the
Big 3 and their competition. Unfortunately, who's at fault and the proper solution to the problem is a lot less
clear.
