World premiere of Mitsubishi Concept-D:5 at Tokyo Motor Show
Sharing floor space with the Concept-X will be Mitsubishi's newest concept car, the D:5. Called a
"go-anywhere-anytime, high mobility, high functionality new 4WD mono-box concept," the D:5 combines minivan utility
with all-terrain capability.
The six-seat car uses the 2.4-liter engine and electronically controlled 4WD system from the new Outlander, adding a
6-speed CVT.
Key features of the D:5 are Mitsubishi's advanced safety vehicle technologies, including a Peripheral Monitoring
System, Lane Trace Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
