iPod and your non-BMW
Until now the only "seamless" integration of iPod and car has involved only the upscale BMW
brand. Now there's a product that can attach to the back of your stock or aftermarket stereo and allows you to access
your iPod using the stereo buttons. Ipod2car.com has the product for sale at a
whopping $198 for what looks little more than an adaptor. How many iPod users would find this useful or worth the
money? I would think iPod-ers are probably more mass transit kind of folks anyway.
On a personal note I'm an audiophile and haven't fallen in love with the MP3 movement. I'll wait until the next evolution gives me uncompressed music in digital form before investing all the time and energy to convert my thousands of CDs to MP3s. Although I understand why so many find it convenient.
