"Oprah and Friends" coming to XM Satellite RadioMove over, Howard Stern, a new A-lister is coming to satellite radio. XM Satellite Radio has announced a 3-year, $55 million deal with Oprah Winfrey to launch a new channel called "Oprah and Friends." The show will feature Oprah weekly, and other personalities popular on her TV show will round out the rest of the week. The channel will launch in September.

The move is a smart one, particularly after rival Sirius Satellite Radio, whose market share is climbing, signed a big deal with Howard Stern. The deal will also bring in a larger female audience.
